Human Resource Manager
Responsibilities • Manage 2 teams of 8-10 employees on each of our 2 dairies to reach maximum production with minimal turnover • Hire, schedule, train and monitor performance of dairy employees, terminate and replace as needed • Minimize employee problems by addressing demands, grievances or other issues • Support dairy performance through training and cross training of employees • 70% of time spent in production, evaluation and training of the team, 30% administrative duties • Oversee and manage dairy systems that drive high performance, retrain as needed • Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs • Report directly to ownership and provide decision support • Ensure legal compliance through documentation of proper hiring procedures Requirements Minimum 2 years proven working experience as a dairy manager, parlor manager or maternity • Bilingual (Spanish and English) people oriented and results driven • Knowledge of the dairy industry and how we measure success • Proven leadership and networking skills, including sourcing and hiring of key employees • Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the dairy • Willing to work weekends or nights as needed • Must be computer savvy, strong communicator and data results driven • Knowledge of MS Office, Excel, PC Dart and Dairy Plan very helpful • Must have valid driver’s license Benefits Flexible work schedule Company truck provided for work and personal use Report directly to 1 owner at each location for feedback and performance monitoring Excellent wage and benefit package, including health insurance, performance bonuses and paid time off
Ideal candidate would be salaried manager, but would start hourly. $18-20/hr if qualified
