Job Description
We are looking for a hard-working, honest, reliable team member to join our wholesale operations team! This is a multifaceted, year-round, long term, position for the right candidate. Greenhouse Production The ideal candidate will have a history working in greenhouses or a degree in agriculture/horticulture studies. This person will be responsible for inventory on seed stocks, placing seed orders and related supply orders. This person will be the primary person responsible for all seed starts and will create the greenhouse seeding plan/schedule and will continue to seed, water, and fertilize the plants until they are ready for transplanting to fields. This candidate will need to monitor the weather at all times and be ready to check houses/heaters on call to make sure the plants are safe. Sales/Logistics: Right candidate must have good communication skills, be able to maintain relationships with existing customers while also seeking out new customers, set prices and send out weekly availability/price lists. Responsible for overseeing warehouse crew and managing product inventory. Create and disseminate daily harvest lists and work closely with farm managers to monitor product availability in fields. Participate in annual customer meetings and facilitate customer farm tours and visits. Oversee warehouse/shipping: Right candidate will be a team player and comfortable delegating tasks to warehouse lead and overseeing warehouse staff. Responsible for the logistics of deliveries which includes scheduling the deliveries with customers as well as scheduling staff to make deliveries. Must be comfortable with help load/unload trucks. Help monitor equipment used in the warehouse such as power jacks and forklifts. Help track shipping supply inventories such as pallet quantities, boxes, plastic wrap, twist ties, etc. Compliance: Responsible, with the help of the administrative staff, for the annual Organic Inspection conducted by the Colorado Department of Agriculture. Maintain records and other documentation related to production (seed sources, input applications, plant dates, etc.) and complete the annual renewal application. Responsible for following the Food Safety Modernization Act and making sure farm is compliant with all requirements.
Wage Description
$17.00-$19.50
