SUMMARY

Job Description

We are looking to add a team leader that is well versed in trimming as well as the removal of large trees. Your days will consist of but are not limited to climbing work and/or using a 60’, 62’ or 60’/75’ elevator bucket truck or a 61’ tracked spider lift. Any trimming of trees has to be done without spikes, no exception. This person will run a two to five man crew, as we are an expanding tree service company that will be running several crews this year around Madison, WI and the Dane County area. Equipment: We have a 60’ bucket truck with chipper box, a 65’ rear mount bucket truck, a 60’-75’ elevator bucket truck, a 61’ tracked spider lift, chipper trucks, five large chippers, several dump trucks, several stump grinders, a few compact tractors, large skid steer and much more.  This climber must be able to show up to work on time and plan on working long hours outdoors.  Reliable transportation to get to work - we are not on the bus line.  Must like climbing trees and running a bucket truck for a living and can do it safely with proper climbing and bucket truck techniques.  Must know proper trimming and rigging techniques, be able to properly start and operate a chainsaw (there will be a test).  The climber must really have his own climbing gear (climbing saddle, spikes and climbing ropes) and bring it with him to work, all other gear will be provided.  Must have a valid driver’s license and be experienced in all aspects of driving a big truck and trailer.  Must know how to drive stick shift properly.  Should be able to run a crew efficiently and the ability to follow instructions. You must be able to work effectively as part of a team.  Bucket truck experience preferred but not required.  This person must not do drugs.

Wage Description

20-32 per hour depending on experience
