Job Description

Gateways To Transformation Farm & Retreat Center General Farmworker and if experienced and rides well, horse exerciser. Basic Job Description: Under direction, plant, maintain, and harvest food crops; and tend livestock and poultry. Repair farm buildings and fences. Duties may include: irrigating crops, working with other crews who are building or initiating large projects on farm facility land. Job Duties and Tasks for: "General Farmworker" Handle animals on farm with care. Clean barn as it is used, brush horses, if qualified and a gentle rider, some horse riding exercise can be added into job description. Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment. Dig and plant seeds, or transplant seedlings by hand. Weeding weed eating and mowing in all garden areas and any other areas as directed Harvest fruits and vegetables by hand. Clean stalls, arena’s, round pens, and make sure all animals are watered and fed. Unload and stack shavings, feed and stock feed in barrels Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery to plow, harrow as directed. Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures. Set up and operate irrigation equipment. Clear and maintain irrigation ditches and pipes Direct and monitor the work of other employees as directed as well as seasonal help during planting and harvesting. Keep Buildings and Property clean and organized. Put tools and hazards up on a daily basis. We do have a space available to live on property if needed as part of weekly pay.

Wage Description

15.50 an hour
